We’re interested in your thoughts about this project, our images, our process, or anything else that requires us to put on our abstract hats and bullshit about art. We’re curious where this might lead us. Is this idea of total transparency and asset sharing/remixing something more visual artists should start to embrace or at least be discussing? Some of these ideas aren’t necessarily new, but the culture is changing and so should the discussion.

Let’s discuss…

    Great art!

Just out of curiousity: If you plan to sell the newly created items, have you already thought about how or if to let the creators participate financially?

Great piece, btw, and a very appreciated experiment!

    Johnny,

We won’t be selling anyone’s art without their permission and without compensating them properly. Artists on Resist Today get 30-50% of the profit of a sale; we try to be fair and honest.

Thanks for the good discussion over at your site too.

Really well done, I was looking for such things; as well as anyone should do, to me. The obvious changing of art in the “age of oblivion and reproducibility” won’t stop by an increasing closure trough restricting laws. And sharing is the better way to allow the flow and distibuting of every form of art. So, congratulation. Me too, I release my own artwork in CC licence “Attribution-Non commercial-Share alike 3.0″. Just a question: I work in Gimp. Why did you choose Ps for making you piece of art? Is there a technical motivation? (I guess about CYMK). As for the last picture, it’s just amazing. I think a bit owner to the Dave McKean artwork (that actually I like a lot) but with something more. I’ll get the source soon and post something derived.
So, be councious of the importance for some people of your way of thinking and work. I think it’s needed and it make the difference.

    See you soon, bye!

Thanks Josh. We’re already talking about releasing all of our digital files for new shirts and wallets for remix. It’s still up in the air as to when, but we’re excited about it.

I accidentally found “resist today” while browsing the internet, and it’s totally something i would one day die to be apart of.

i am going to play with those images that are so readily available for me to take, my computer was struggling with downloading the high rezz but i wanted them!

thanks for being around. it’s a great site and experience to view.
